With the holidays too quickly approaching – Halloween seems to turn into Christmas/Chanukah overnight! – we thought we’d help you out with some great gift ideas from our Shop With a Conscience section. In this economy, when it’s unlikely you’ll be selling your house any time soon, the best way to change the environment in which you live is simply to hang new artwork on your walls – and, wow, have we got some fantastic options for you.
Julie Weaverling is a visual artist whose contemporary paintings and mixed media pieces will completely transform any space. A believer in giving back (who we’re proud to feature in our Shop With a Conscience section), Julie has created a series of Africa paintings to raise money to fight the AIDS pandemic. Twenty five percent of all proceeds from the sale of these paintings will be donated to Keep A Child Alive.
