It’s Our Final — and Best — Box of Treats Promotion for the Year!
It’s that time again! You’ve asked us to offer our Boxes of Treats promotion as often as possible, and we’re happy to oblige!
We literally have hundreds of books and DVDs and other assorted goodies falling out of our closets — we’re talking best sellers, Academy Award winners, top-rated beauty products — and all you have to do to get a box full is cover the cost of a priority mail flat rate box from the post office and make a small donation to Formerly Flip Flops, which you will read about below. We guarantee your gifts will be worth many times that, as everyone who has ordered them before can attest. In fact, we can promise you they’ll be worth at least $100.
Because you guys have been so generous in the past, we’re once again asking you to help us pay for another type of postage as well. We are still receiving used flip flops for our Formerly Flip Flops project – thank you! – but, unfortunately, the cost of shipping has increased so dramatically, it’s becoming cost-prohibitive for us to keep sending them to Africa on our 
own. We need help. So, we’re asking you to send $20, which covers the price of a medium-size flat rate box and includes a donation to keep this valuable charitable project going strong. And if you know any individual or business who would like to help out, please send them our way.
Before sealing your envelope, please go through this checklist, and make sure you have included each item. We must receive each of these items in the format specified or we will have to return it to you.
. A check for at least $20 (no cash or credit cards) made out to “Four Friends For Good” to cover $10.95 postage plus a donation. We know in the past we’ve asked for $10.95 in postage only, but the new post office regulations state that there can not be more than 4 stamps on a package! Rather than ask you to gather $10.95 in 4 stamps or less, we’ll just have the post office stamp them.
. Your name, mailing address and email address.

I have been a SSS fan since day one, but never did the Box of Treats. This year I did it. I was so excited to receive it.
I have to say I am a bit disappointed, because with your write up:

I received 6books, 2DVDs & a tiny broken mirror. :-(
Im bit sad cuz I thought I would have lots of stocking stuffers
Instead I will be taking all the books, but 1(that I haven’t read) to the used bookstore that I manage. Hopefully someone will enjoy them

We’re sorry you’re disappointed and that the mirror broke in transit. You did receive 6 books and 2 DVDs for $20, half of which is a donation to Formerly Flip Flops. The items are worth way more than that, and we’re sorry if you were expecting something different.
I got 3 boxes, 2 as presents and 1 for me. 1 friend got her box of treats and absolutely had the best time opening it up and discovering everything. It’s a perfect surprise gift. The other 2 boxes I haven’t gotten yet but I know they will be great and alot of fun. So thanks for thinking of this great idea!
This is my first Box of Treats and I must say I was very impressed with what I received. The books, the dvd’s and several cute items were more than I expected. I got my money’s worth and feel good knowing a charity will benefit because of your promotion. If it’s not too late, I would like to send a few boxes to friends.
Aaarrrggghhh! I’m so frustrated … I send you checks for two boxes of treats back on Nov. 19th, but the envelope was just returned to me in the mail; apparently, I made a mistake in the address line. I put 3625 Del Mar Heights Rd., rather than 3525. I know it’s my fault, but I’m amazed that the postal delivery person couldn’t figure it out; the envelope was addressed to SubstanceStyleSoul and everything else was right. You must get tons of mail. Darn. Maybe I’ll get one next time …
