A self-taught artist, Priscilla Nelson began painting as a child. At age 15 she had her first sold-out show in Reston, Virginia, and at 16, she was honored to participate in a program for promising artists at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. Priscilla is primarily recognized for her figurative oil paintings featuring fabrics and she also does a limited number of commissioned pencil portraits of children and pets.
Nelson is committed to giving back to the community through her art, and donates 20% of her commissioned pet portraits to pet rescue and adoption centers chosen by her clients.
