More than 300 million children around the world go without shoes because their parents can’t afford them.

Join Manny Ohonme, founder of Samaritan’s Feet, in his mission to put shoes on the feet of 10 million children over the next 10 years. When he was nine years old, the native Nigerian was given his first pair of tennis shoes by a “Good Samaritan.” This simple gift changed Manny’s life, allowing him to go to college in America on a full basketball scholarship. Manny, who is definitely paying it forward, just completed a 300 mile walk – barefoot --to raise awareness and money for this important cause. Get involved, and see how putting a pair of shoes on a child’s feet magically puts a smile on their face.
Learn how to walk gracefully in high heels at the High Heel Shoe Museum, which offers 20 great tips plus an instructional video. Much of it may seem self-explanatory to many of you, but for those of us who tend to live in flip flops, UGGS and Chuck Taylors, the advice probably saved us a twisted ankle or two. Be sure to check out the Shoe Tube while you’re there – you may not care about Facebook but we know you’ll want to see what everyone’s got on their feet.
