1: One of the biggest factors that contribute to maintaining healthy, luscious locks is exactly WHAT you put into your body. Whatever food you eat will show on how healthy your hair is. Thus, it is important that you follow a diet that is not all junk food and is rich in iron and proteins. Eat a lot of leafy vegetables and proteins including milk, yogurt etc. which apart from being protein rich, are also rich in amino acids.

2: Try not to panic and immediately sought treatment after spotting a few strands on the floor of your bathroom or on your pillows because it is quite natural to lose around 100 to 150 strands of hair in a single day. It is only If you are continuously shedding chunks of hair while combing or washing it, that you have to start worrying.

3: Make sure that, after you take a bath you are extremely gentle while combing your wet hair because they are very delicate and hence highly prone to damaging and breakage. 4: Ensure that you regularly trim off the ends of your hair, at least once in a month to get rid of all the split ends and rough hair that can form if you use a hair straightener, drier etc. If you have split ends, your hair will not grow further and hence it is important that you get them trimmed off as soon as possible.

5: Do not wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner every day as this can quickly damage your hair. Do it either two or three times a week, or on alternate days and try to oil your hair before washing it. Also, try to use the same brand of shampoo and conditioner and to wash your hair with cold water after applying the same, because this prevents lesser breaking of your hair and contributes to shine and strength.
