Theology of Twelver Shias contains five principles of the Shia Islam religion known as Uṣūl ad-Dīn (Arabic: أصول الدين عند الشيعة). Usul al-dín is an Arabic Islamic term which literally translates as ‘principles of the faith’, roughly interpretable as ‘theology’.

This part of the religion should not be followed blindly but logical reasoning should be looked for, for example, if Allah is one, then one should search for logical reasons, why is allah one, not just blindly follow it. However faith in the unseen is crucial.

What is the difference between Shia and Sunni Islam?
