Sequoia National Forest lands (outside of the fee campgrounds) along the Upper Kern River offer numerous idyllic free riverside campsites. Most are accessible with 2-wheel-drive, some require 4-wheel-drive. Few toilets or other facilities are provided.

Can you Boondock in Sequoia National Forest?
