Is statistics in high school hard?
It isn’t very hard, and it just requires logical thinking. There aren’t many formulas and it’s not like you’re actually solving a problem. It has graphs and tables and analyzing them. It’s not a super hard AP class, it’s just like any other class if you pay attention in class and ask questions when you have them.
How can I pass statistics without studying?
Take notes in your statistics notebook. Taking notes, even if you don’t refer to them later during studying, will still help you. Writing down information will assist you in remembering the material. If you take good notes during class, you will likely be able to pass your statistics class.
What math is needed for statistics?
“Statistics” is fairly broad, and when you say you want to understand it at a high level you implicate many areas of math. As Jay Verkuilen answered, you need linear algebra, probability theory, real analysis and optimization theory. Included in the last two are calculus and set theory.
Is it better to take calculus or statistics in high school?
If you decide to study political science, and enter politics, then you will likely find statistics more useful than calculus in conducting polls and interpreting them. Calculus is useful in business and especially economics to study changes —especially highs and lows in the behavior of people.
