Is the Schluter shower System worth it?

Can I use Redgard on Schluter Kerdi?
Can you Redgard over Kerdi? No, it won’t interfere with the performance or adversely effect it. RedGuard is not harder to adhere to. There is no reason to use both products although it can be easier to use the RedGuard in corners and niches without the build up you can get with kerdi.
Can Schluter be used in a shower?

Is wedi cheaper than Schluter?
Schluter is half the price of Wedi in our area. If you break down the pieces of the system, the main cost difference is the shower base. Wedi’s shower base is much more expensive than Schluter’s shower base. The wall panels are about the same price.
How much does it cost to install Schluter?
