The village of Sapperton stands at the upper end of the Golden Valley in the east part of the parish. The ancient part of the village lies to the south and west of the church and site of the manor-house (fn. 30) along the old road to Cirencester, the main road to Frampton Mansell, and Church Lane, which branches north from the latter.
